MEET AKIL

Broadcaster. Educator. Founder.

Akil Augustine is a Canadian broadcaster, journalist, educator, and communications strategist with more than two decades of experience across media, sport, and education.

Throughout his career, he has interviewed world-class athletes, led digital media campaigns for global brands, created content across television and social platforms, and worked alongside the NBA, NFL, NHL, and Nike. His work has always centered on one skill: helping people communicate with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

Today, Akil brings that experience into classrooms, boardrooms, and communities, partnering with school boards, organizations, teams, and athletes to develop the communication, media literacy, leadership, and digital citizenship skills needed to thrive in today's world.

He founded MediaLit to transform decades of experience into a communications education platform that equips the next generation to communicate with confidence and lead with purpose.
